W.O.W.-Worship on Wednesdays is a great way for youth to learn Bible stories and memory verses; sing praises; make crafts and play games. The evening starts at 6pm with supper and ends at 7:30pm.
Five of OSL's middle schoolers recently attended Faithfest at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD. The theme of the weekend retreat was "Fruit of the Spirit". The youth participated in a service project; attended a concert and worshiped together.
All are welcome to join us for Lenten Services on Wednesdays starting March 6. A soup/sandwich supper starts the evening at 6pm with church to follow.
Saturday, February 9, the Womens Group hosted an author chat/ brunch at the North Place. Local author, Nicole Baart, was the featured speaker. It was a wonderful time spent with food, fellowship and friends.
The church library has a multitude of books for all ages. Featured this month are titles by Nicole Baart, who will be the speaker at the Author Chat brunch in February. "You Were Always Mine" and "Little Broken Things" are two of the favorite titles.
A delegation of 10 individuals attended the Hope in the Heartland on February 2, 2019. The host site was Our Savior's Lutheran in Sioux Falls, SD. During the day long event, those attending discussed what the future is for small congregations and how to stay vital and nurture faith. A trained coach will be assigned to our congregation and will meet with us in future months.
